Embedded deep within the security industry is a habit of ‘overpromising’. Unfortunately, many of our own clients have encountered this issue on multiple occasions, with various different security companies.

The problem arises when security companies are willing to accept work that they know is beyond their resources and capabilities. As a result, the client will often bear the brunt of inadequate services that does not fulfill their requirement the way they were told it would.

While there are several overpromises that a security company can make, the most common ones are:

Staff numbers – agreeing to supply personnel that they do not have access to

Staff experience – exaggerating a staff’s experience so that it is a ‘better fit’ for the client

Alarm response time – falsely claiming to respond to an alarm quicker than what is feasible for the company

Location – accepting work in a location where the security company has no personnel

Due to overpromising, the security company will struggle to carry out its services the way the client intended. Often this will leave the clients premises and people still vulnerable to the threat of a security breach.

SAY NO TO OVERPROMISING

At VIRPIO SECURITY we have a pretty simple approach – we never overpromise. We only ever accept work when we know we can deliver a great and trustworthy service.

This is why we prioritise work that is local to us. For clients that are within West Yorkshire we can guarantee:

  • Access to local security staff that you can request 24/7, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, even at last minute.
  • Friendly face to face chats at our Bradford office, whenever you need to pop in.
  • Immediate intervention from our West Yorkshire based Senior Management Team, if things go wrong.
  • Discounted prices, due to location.

Thanks to our straightforward way of working, clients can rest assured that they have partnered with a security supplier who is reliable and trustworthy. With that being said, we will always try our best to accommodate the requirements of a client, however if our Senior Management Team determines that the job is too far out our reach, then we are completely honest about this.

Be wary of security companies who overpromise… sometimes if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
