When a client requires our manned guarding service, the ‘easy’ option would be to deploy the next available security officer on hand. At VIRPIO SECURITY we don’t do this.
We recognise that every client we work with and each site we secure often have very different requirements. For this reason, we always ensure that the security officer on the ground is the right person for the job.
SKILLS
A security officer who has been assigned to a busy warehouse, where he is responsible for checking visitors in and out using a sophisticated IT system, will require a different skill set than an officer who is conducting foot patrols of a construction site at night.
EXPERIENCE
Like with any other profession, experience is what sets people apart. It helps us identify which officer can execute a job in the most efficient and effective way. Resulting in less worry and stress for our client, as they can rely on the operative to carry out his or her role accordingly.
PERSONALITY
There are times when an officer’s personality is not a major concern, but there are occasions when it’s one of the more important requirements. We will always make sure that our officer is able to reflect the personality of the premise and its people.
Evaluating the skills, experience and personality of our officers is imperative to making sure that the right person has been deployed for the job. Often this means re-adjusting and re-allocating staff members to new jobs that arise that they will be more suited for. As opposed to simply assigning the next available officer, even though they may not fit the required criteria.
Whilst our thorough approach may cause slight impediments for our team internally, having to shift officers around, we continue to do this because it’s in the best interest of our clients.
